From This Mission:

We hope to enable those elderly persons living in their own home to continue self-sufficiency for the ability to remain independent and for those living with family, to maintain or increase their current level of independence and provide respite for the caregiver.

Established in 1978, the Alpha Center is an Adult Day Service program for the frail elderly age 60 and over in Delaware County. Activities are focused on the needs of the this age group with emphasis on education, entertainment, and mental stimulation with socialization and exercise promoted in a five hour structured daily program. The environment is safe and comfortable supervised by an experienced caring staff. Throughout 30 years of service in the community, we value our clients, staff, dedicated volunteers and a supportive board of directors who offer encouragement and positive influence.

About Our Programs:

The primary goal of the Alpha Center's program is to offer the opportunity to learn and be an active participant both individually and involved as part of the group interaction.

Our variety programming provides:

• Continuing Education
• Entertainment
• Light physical activity
• Emotional growth
• Caring visits

The Alpha Center cooperates with various community agencies that offer services utilized within our facility including:

• Blood Pressure checks
• Nutritional and well balanced meals served daily
• City and county transportation
• Various funding sources from city and county agencies

Client Program - Monday through Friday  |  9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Staff Office - Monday through Friday  |  8:00 am to 4:00 pm
